In The Woods

In the Woods, a collaborative effort between Thomas Swiss and Seth Thompson examines the ideas of memory, aging and loss. The result of the collaboration suggests the way language (in this case a poem by Swiss) can be re-represented and changed by images (a film by Thompson).

Seth Thompson is a media artist who works in a social commentary vein. He is based in Akron, Ohio (United States) and his work has been shown internationally.
Thomas Swiss writes and teaches on poetry, technology, and popular music at the University of Iowa. His collaborative New Media poems appear online in a variety of literary venues, as well as in art exhibits. He is the author of two collections of poems, Rough Cut and Measure, and editor of two recent books about the Web.
