Artist's Statement:
In the Artist and Model series I contemplate my body as a finite object in the presence of other simple objects that I hold or wear. I use neither mirrors, nor photographs, but simply look down and try to render the view. It is an odd experience to be the model and the artist at the same time: an unnerving interchange seems to occur between stuff and being. I try to embody a sense of this in the works.
